The new TG5V (or TG7 in Europe) is a successor to the Sony Handycam TG1. Weighing at 230 grams and measuring 30mm x 117mm x 62mm, the camcorder is now lighter and smaller than its predecessor. The video camera offers 16GB of Internal memory (or 6hours of video recoding), a 30mm wide angle, a new BIONZ and Exemor image processor for low light recording, and new coating for the Camera body to prevent scratches. An integrated GPS antenna and NAVTEQ maps can be used to automatically geo-tag videos or images to keep a record of the exact shooting location.
