Gefen Wireless HDMI Extender


Gefen’s Wireless HDMI Extender allows you to enjoy cable-free High Definition extension within a 30 foot radius within a line-of-sight. Guess this means you can’t really place it anywhere you like, as the best area to mount it would be on your ceiling. The add-on provides users with two HDMI inputs and one component HD video input that can be shared using UWB wireless that allows up to three HD signals to be sent to one location, including with 5.1 Dolby surround. Supported resolutions range from the standard 480i to 1080p, and is able to accept input from Blu-ray players, HD DVD players, or game consoles. Gefen Wireless HDMI Extender retails for a hefty $1,000 each.

Sony X1000 OLED Walkman For the UK


Sony’s new X1000 Walkman phone is now available for pre-order on Amazon UK. The 16-gigabyte NWZ-X1050B retails for £214 (around $300) and 32-gigabyte NWZ-X1060B is priced at £283 (around $400). This music phone will be available in two to five weeks in the UK.

Buffalo’s Latest SATA SSD With Mini USB

Buffalo offers a brand new SATA SSD line up that has a mini USB port. Dubbed as the SHD-NSUM, the drive is available in 30GB to 32GB, 60GB, 64GB, 120GB and 128GB storage capacities. You can use its mini USB port to backup your valuable data. No word on pricing or availability so far.

Two New Panasonic Internet-enabled Blu-ray Players

Panasonic comes back with two internet-enabled Blu-ray players that allows users to maximize their enjoyment out of BD Live-enabled discs. The Panasonic DMP-BD80 and DMP-BD60 also allows users to view YouTube videos and Picasa images on their HDTVs. The DMP-BD80 focuses more on sound quality, meanwhile the DMP-BD60 offer basic functions. Both Blu-ray players feature High-definition Audio Decoder (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential), PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus technology, 1080p Up-Conversion, SD memory card slot, and USB port.

Asus Eee PC T91 Netbook Tablet Pricing Unveiled

Here is Asus’s first ultra-portable tablet PC. The Asus EeePC T91 is priced at between £360 ($524) and £420 ($610) in the UK. As a reminder, the T91 mini-tablet features an 8.9-inch touchscreen display with a 1,024×600 resolution and LED backlight, Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, US15W chipset, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 32GB solid state drive with Windows XP Home pre-loaded. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, an Ethernet LAN port, a webcam, optional 3G and GPS connectivity. Its non-removable battery provides enough juice for up to five hours. Weighing less than 2.2 pounds, the net tablet comes in a white glossy chassis. Asustek also plans to release the Eee PC T101H, a tablet netbook with a 10-inch display.

Sandisk ImageMate Memory Card Readers

The Sandisk ImageMate All-In-One and ImageMate Multi-Card are now available in North America. These card readers are capable of transferring 1-gigabyte of data in less than 35 seconds. Priced at $29.99, the ImageMate All-in-One reader supports SD, SDHC, miniSDHC, microSDHC, MMC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro Duo, xD and CompactFlash. The reader can reach a speed of up to 34 MB/s with a SanDisk Extreme iV 45 MB/s CompactFlash card. Meanwhile, the ImageMate Multi-Card reader supports xD, Memory Stick, SD, SDHC, and MMC. The reader is priced at $19.99. The Multi-Card reader is capable of up to 30MB/s read and 27 MB/s write data transfer rates when using a SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s Edition SDHC card.

Philips Tapster Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Philips has rolled out another cool wearable device known as Philips Tapster Bluetooth Stereo Headset. It works perfectly with most MP3 players or smartphones, but here comes the best part, its unique touch-sensitive controls. Adjusting the volume or switching from music to taking a phone call, can be easily done with simple taps or swipe gestures. Pretty awesome! Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release dates yet.

FastMac USB Blu-ray Drive Announced

The FastMac USB external slimline Blu-ray reader is now official. The device will be available in three variants including the APP-6907, APP-6963 and APP-6964. Priced at $99, the FastMac APP-6907 Blu-ray player also offers DVD± capability. The APP-6963 is priced at $299 and supports 1x BD-R drive. Meanwhile, the $399 APP-6964 supports 4x BD-R drive. All of them are compatible with PC and Mac platforms.

Toshiba TG01, World's First 1GHz Snapdragon CPU Powered WiMo Phone

Yesterday the Japanese Web magazine Nikkei announced a future Toshiba iPhone killer, and guess what... Toshiba Europe dropped the bomb several hours later with this announcement... nothing yet from Toshiba Japan.If you think the HTC Touch HD was the only cool device on the market, you should consider Toshiba's new TG01.What's special? Aside from the disappointing news regarding the OS version, yep no WiMo 6.5, just plain old 6.1... This new pocket PC is the first device to be powered by a 1Ghz Snapdragon CPU, features a nice 4.1” WVGA screen, HSDPA and HSUPA, WiFi, GPS... And not only it supports H.264 files is also DviX friendly.Well done Toshiba, like a phoenix you are back in the pocket PC world, and this time with a pretty impressive piece of hardware. It's a pity that it doesn't come with 6.5.
