Eco-friendly Wireless Router Series From Buffalo

Buffalo has launched a new series of eco-friendly wireless router that consumes 69% less electricity than its predecessors. The new Buffalo WZR-HP-G301NH series adopts a new power management system, which will help you to lower your electric bill. No word yet on pricing or availability.

Atlona AT-HDVieW VGA To HDMI Converter

If you want to connect your old laptop to your new HDTV, then you might need the Atlona AT-HDVieW Scaler/ Converter. Powered via USB port, the device combines both audio and video signals and converts them to an HDMI signal. This VGA To HDMI scaler/converter also communicates with your HDTV to achieve the right output resolution. The Atlona AT-HDVieW will be available on February 22nd, 2010 for $120 each.

Denon S-5BD Blu-ray Player

The Denon S-5BD is an audiophile grade 5.1 channel surround sound receiver with advanced Profile 2.0 Blu-ray player. Dubbed as “the Cara”, this BD player comes complete with 1080p/24p video output, DVD video scaling up to 1080p, and BD-Live support. Additionally, there are two dedicated outputs for surround back speakers that would require amplification, which means the S-5BD can be expanded to 7.1 channel surround sound setup. On the front, aside from the HDMI input, there is a USB port, an SD reader, and two 3.5mm ports for mic and headphones. Weighing at 7.8Kg, the Denon S-5BD will be launched in March 2010 for £1,999 ($3,113).

JVC’s latest CU-VS100 HD player features two SD and SDHC card readers. This SD card-based HD player allows you to play SD/SDHC content on HDTV. The device connects to your TV via a HDMI port. The JVC CU-VS100 is compatible with most of audio and video file formats including .mts, .m2ts, .mov, .tod, .mod, .mpg, JPG, MP3 and WAV. Each purchase comes with a remote controller and an A/V cable. You can purchase the JVC CU-VS100 for $199.95. Not cheap if u ask me!

Two 500GB PS3-certified External Hard Drives From Buffalo

If you are unsatisfied with your Sony PlayStation 3’s storage capacity, then you can upgrade your console with Buffalo’s new 500GB PS3-certified external hard drives. The Buffalo HD-AV500U2/SC and HD-CL500U2/SC are both compatible not only with PS3 but also with the upcoming PlayStation 3 TV Tuner and “Torne” DTV DVR adapter. The Buffalo HD-AV500U2/SC and HD-CL500U2/SC are priced at 14,800 Yen and 11,800 Yen, respectively. Both models will be launched in Japan next month.
