Onkyo Releases High-end Speaker Set For PC
Onkyo today launched its brand new high-end speaker set for PC that adopts Onkyo’s VL Digital Technology to produce high-quality sound. Dubbed as the Onkyo GX-500HD, this speaker set provides 2 x 40 Watts and works on a 50Hz to 100kHz. The Onkyo GX-500HD will be released in Japan next week for 49800 Yen or around €380.
CUPC-P80 Touchscreen UMPC
Here is another cool device CuPC-P80, a developmental UMPC that only needs 12 Volts DC power, which means it can easily be hooked up to your car. You only need to connect it to some USB GPS and broadband modem and you got a mobile station right there on your car. This CuPC-P80 runs AMD Geode LX800 500Mhz processor, 512MB of DDR, and 4GB of Flash harddrive. The gadget also comes with bunch of serial ports and RS485 for industrial automation. No word on pricing so far.

Shuttle XPC H7 4500H - Media Centre PC
The XPC H7 4500H is the latest media centre PC from Shuttle, which includes an optional DVB-S satellite TV tuner for watching and recording digital satellite TV. The system offers a choice of either Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual-Core processors, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 1TB of hard drive storage and a choice of graphics from integrated to PCIe graphics cards. Available now from Shuttle with a starting price of €679 ($910) for the base version.
Three I-O Data’s New Colorful External HDDs
I-O Data today releases three colorful external HDDs which is available in Pink, Black, or White Pearl. These hard drives are specially designed for women. It is also available in 250GB, 320GB and 500GB storage space. Each HDDs comes with a USB cable fitted in the HDD enclosure.

Sony Ericsson Idou in Silver
It seems that Sony Ericsson is preparing for the silver model of Sony Ericsson Idou. Unfortunately, there is no official confirmation from the manufacturer. It is also not too sure if this new Sony Ericsson Idou in silver is actually a canceled version or a yet to be announced version. We will keep you posted.
New BD Recorders with acTVila in Japan
The BDZ-A750 (320GB) and the BDZ-A950 (500GB) are Sony’s latest Blu-ray burner player and HDD video recorder combos. These recorders are able to stream and download videos from either Tsutaya TV and acTVila VOD service in Japan and forward these contents directly to a Sony PSP or a Sony compatible DAP via USB port. These players are also DLNA compatible. No word on pricing so far.

Photofast 2.5-Inch SSD With 64Mb Cache Memory
Photofast will release their latest G-Monster SSD V4 SLC Series for a mid-April release. Available in 64GB or 32GB, the device features a reading speed of 270MB/s, and a writing speed of 170MB/s, with 64 MB of internal cache. Photofast also announced a MTBF of 1.5 million hours for their 2.5-Inch SATA SSD. The 32GB and 64GB model are priced at €365 and €660, respectively. Meanwhile, the 128GB version is scheduled for release later this year.

ASUS Eee Box Gets Radeon HD 4350, Vista
Asus has rolled out the latest version of its nettop PC in the form of the Eee Box B208. This new system sports a 256MB ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphic card, 1.6GHz Intel Atom 330 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, Windows Vista Home Basic operating system, HDMI output, 4 USB ports, an Ethernet jack, a multi-format card reader, a remote control and 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity. Some higher-end versions will also have 250GB and 320GB hard drives. Pricing and release dates are still unknown.

Asus EzLink LCD Monitor
Asus has decided to introduce its new Asus EzLink LCD Monitor at CeBIT 2009 Expo in Germany. The VH192C and VH196 are energy-efficient LCD monitor that are actually the company’s first wireless monitor that connects for your PC or laptop via a Wireless Host Controller Interface (WHCI) or Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter (HWA). No word on pricing or availability of these monitors as at press time though.
Raider S705 Small Rugged PC
General Micro Systems offers a compact and rugged PC which is dubbed as the Raider S705. Measuring 4.6 inch x 4.6 inch x 1.6 inch and weighing 2 lbs, the computer comes equipped with a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 2GB of 667 MHz DDR-2SDRAM with about six wireless connections simultaneously and has dual COM with four USB ports. What makes this small PC special is that it consumes only 15 watts of power and supports CDMA, TDMA, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth functions. The Raider S705 is capable of functioning in extreme temperatures of -40 C to +85 C.
Sharp Blu-ray DVR With 1TB Of Storage
Sharp has recently unveiled a new Blu-ray DVR range, with a high-end BD-HDW40 comes with a 1TB hard drive and Blu-ray recorder capability. The new Sharp Blu-ray DVR range includes four models, three of which, the HDW40, HDW35 and HDW32 feature two digital TV tuners, 1080p output, Blu-ray playback and recording with BD-Live, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio and compression to fit up to 30 hours of HD telly per Blu-ray disc. The low end Sharp BD-HDS32 has only a built-in 320GB hard drive. The entire range will be released in Japan this coming March 27th.
