Kensington Universal USB Docks

Kensington today released two new USB docking stations that you can use to add several USB ports and other I/O jacks to your computer. What makes this input device interesting is that it has DisplayLink technology that allows you to connect an external display via a USB port. There are two docks, one that adds Ethernet to the above for $149.99 and one without for $129.99. Both models have 5 USB ports, DVI and VGA inputs, and audio I/O ports.

Sony Ericsson MH907 Motion Activated Headphones

Sony Ericsson today unveiled the first motion activated headphones in the world. The Sony Ericsson MH907 adopts the SensMe Control technology that responds without a single press of a button. You just place the two headphones in your ear to start listening to music. If you want to pause the music, you can remove one ear bud, and to start listening to the music again just place it in your ear. The Sony Ericsson MH907 Motion Activated Headphones will be available in a range of colors, including yellow/white and chrome.

Pioneer’s First 12x BD Burner

Pioneer has proudly introduced this morning the BDR-S05J-BK, which is the first BD burner that supports the 12x recording with selected BD-R SL and DL media (6x- certified). The SATA drive also supports 6x recording with BD-R LTH discs, 2x with BD-RE/RE DL, 16x with DVD±R, 8x with DVD±R DL and DVD±RW discs, 40x with CD-R 40 X speed and finally 24x with CD-RW discs. The Pioneer BDR-S05J-BK will be released at the end of this month for around 38,000 Yen ($416).

LG Unveils XPION X30 ION-Based Nettop

South Korean company LG has just unveiled its first ION based nettop PC called the XPION X30. Weighing just 1.1kg, this space-saving computer adopts a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N230 processor, a NVIDIA ION (MCP7A) chipset, an integrated GeForce 9400 graphics card, a 2GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows Vista Home Basic OS. The LG XPION X30 will make its debut tomorrow in Korea.

Buffalo BR-X816U2 External Blu-ray Writer

Buffalo is preparing to release another external Blu-ray writer namely the BR-X816U2. Weighing just 1.3kg, the drive offers a USB 2.0 interface, a 4MB cache memory and has the ability to write BD-R/-R DL at 8x, BD-RE/-RE DL at 2x, DVD-R/+R at 16x, DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x, DVD-R/+R DL at 4x, CD-R at 32x and CD-RW at 24x. The burner is also bundled with CyberLink’s PowerDirector 7, PowerProducer 5, PowerDVD 8, Power2Go 6, PowerBackup 2, InstantBurn 5, and MediaShow 4. The Buffalo BR-X816U2 External Blu-ray Writer will be available in late-September for 24,200 Yen (about $266).

Philips Wireless HDTV Link

Philips has recently showed off its Wireless HDTV Link at IFA Berlin 2009. This HDMI transmitter and receiver pair allows you to place your actual A/V components up to 20 yards away from the set. The base station comes with two HDMI connectors and two component connectors, allowing you the freedom to switch between TV, DVD and games consoles simply and quickly, without having to change cables and plugs in between uses. The Philips Wireless HDTV link is priced at €599.99 or around $800.

Creative Vado HD With Vado Central Software For Mac OS X

You can now pre-order the second generation Vado HD pocket camcorder from Creative. The gadget comes with new Vado Central for Mac OS X, which will feature video transferring and direct to iMovie importing of Vado videos. The new Vado Central will be available for download in early September and is compatible with all previous Vado and Vado HD models. The second generation of Vado HD is available in two new color combinations, a 4GB glossy white with green accents, which holds up to 60 minutes of video and an 8GB glossy black with red accents, which holds up to 120 minutes of video. The 4GB and 8GB models are priced at $179.99 and $199.99, respectively.

If you want to buy a wireless router that is easy to configure, then you can choose the latest wireless router from Asus. Measuring 165mm x 125mm x 30mm and weighing 265grams, the Asus RT-N13U features the Asus EZ UI, which enables users to easily setup and manage wireless connections, printers and scanners. It also facilitates troubleshooting, sharing of multimedia content and documents, as well as the allocation of bandwidth to different activities based on user preferences. The Asus RT-N13U can also support 24/7 downloads, even when the PC is turned off. The Asus RT-N13U also has an internal antenna, which provides wider coverage than an external antenna. Sadly, no word on pricing yet.
